• Entry submissions (the mock-ups and supporting documents) must be assumed not to be able to be returned after the competition. Reasonable efforts will be made by the organisers to make the entries available for collection after the awards ceremony, but this cannot be guaranteed.
• Entries that are awarded prizes, may be retained by the organisers for display at PROPAK Africa in March 2025.
Entry Eligibility
• On the date of entry, the entrant must be a bona fide full-time or part-time student.

Each entry must include 1 & 2 below. Point 3 is recommended but optional.
1. The completed two-page entry form. (Required)
Download the 2-page Entry Form HERE
The Entry Form template must be used and followed.
The entry form is a two-page fillable PDF. The second page has a template to be used to submit your entry summary with pack visuals and support information briefly explaining your concept. This is in addition to the digital files supplied below.
See the guidelines for the written part of your entry under the TIPS, HINTS tab)
2. A physical mock-up of your packaging proposal. (if feasible)
Photographs or images of your packaging proposal mock-up must be included as part of your submission.
This is the key element that will be scrutinised by the judges. Ensure that your photographs are good quality and a present the features of your design that address the challenge of the brief effectively. Only when a physical mock-up is not practical or feasible, a computer-generated 3D visual of your packaging proposal will be accepted.
3. Additional written or visual support information (Optional).
You may wish to supply additional information or visuals to support your entry. This is often valuable support for an entry, but ensure that your entry summary form and mock-up are able to 'stand-alone' as your proposed concept.
Outside Assistance
It is expected and encouraged that assistance be sought from any source in the preparation of the entry. Remember to acknowledge anyone, other than your lecturer, who gave you assistance in the preparation of your entry. Consultation with others is a natural and expected part of creating good packaging, however your mock-up should be created by yourself (or your student team).
