QUICK SERVICE RESTAURANT (QSR) TAKE-AWAY PACKAGING

Your challenge is to create and specify the packaging for QSRs to use for home delivery, drive thru or e-commerce sales. Your proposed solution should showcase your concepts for the packaging for various food and beverage products to be packaged conveniently together, whilst protecting and preserving each.

You need to also consider and present as part of your proposal, the specifications for the secondary/transit packaging that will be used to deliver the empty packs to the QSR and highlight how this secondary packaging functions to protect and move the empty packaging throughout the supply chain, from where the packaging is converted to where the packaging is stored and ultimately used in the QSR outlet.

Background
Takeaway packaging is more than just a container. It plays an indispensable role in maintaining food safety protecting against contaminants, but it also preserves the freshness and quality of food so the food remains as fresh as when it first left the restaurant’s kitchen. The packaging also needs to be conveniently portable, easy and convenient to use and responsibly disposed.
