SINGLE SERVE PACKAGING
Your challenge is to design the packaging that delivers your chosen product as a single serve food, beverage or single use item that is normally also available in packs containing multiple servings or items of the same product. Your concept proposal needs to include the single serve pack, a pack containing multiple units of the single serve pack and well as the shipper or transit carton showing how the branding is applied to each in an effective manner.
Background
Offering single servings of products provides the opportunity to increase the product’s penetration to engage consumers differently opening up new opportunities to sell the same product in new ways or launch a new product. It also may offer the product at a lower price point, or merely prevent wastage.
For FMCG products, shelf presence and distribution become issue whilst clearly communicating the brand;’s core values and image. Your concept should address the issues of convenient in-home use or storage, on-shelf display and distribution.
Your proposed pack design should therefore include at least the single serve pack, a multi-pack version for on-shelf display and/or in-home use, as well as a transit carton.
Considerations
➤ Your design proposal should be selected and created to showcase your good idea as a solution to the challenge.
